Power beyond kit

I ordered a JD3320 with FEL and 448Backhoe. I have been waiting close to 3 weeks now to take delivery because the dealer told me he is still waiting for the "power beyond kit" to hook up the backhoe. He said it was on backorder. Can anyone tell me if this makes any sense. I would think that this is something that would be readily available. I am concerned that if I need a part or something in the future I will have to wait for a long period of time. Is it normal for JD to take this long getting parts or is it maybe a dealer issue. So far I have only put down a deposit and did not sign anything yet, so I could still walk away if need be.

Time runs s-l-o-w-l-y when waiting for a new machine!!

Any brand can have a delay on any part at any time! But I think you will find that ususally parts availability is great with JD...

Power beyond is almost exclusively used for the backhoe; and backhoes are not as common with most buyers as they are here on tbn. It may be there IS a shortage, maybe a mix up at the dealer, either way, I would let them know that your patience is running a little low. Maybe thay can get you the machine to use while the part is coming in, or something....

I agree with MIke,
Let the dealer know you aren't happy with the timeframe, and see if they can come up with that kit from another dealer sooner. If they know they risk losing the deal, they may take the extra steps to get you that machine quicker..

Well, I got a call from the dealer and my tractor is ready. Now I feel bad that I complained. Anyway, thanks for the input. I should have it delivered by this weekend, at least thats the plan right now.
