Kubota M7060
Hello again all,

I have a post driver that requires constant hydraulic pressure and the ability to quickly dump accumulated oil. I had this setup on my old Deere 3720 and it worked great. On my current M7060, all I have is an auto-cancelling rear remote and it doesn't let the oil flow fast enough for the driver to work properly. I've had very little luck finding a manufacturer kit for this. Is there a kit for Kubota for power beyond ports at the back of the tractor? The Power Beyond port on my hydraulic block currently feeds the FEL third function valve and then continues to the 3PH. If there's not a kit available, any good ideas on how to tackle the flow issue?

Thanks!

On my M's, there is a threaded port on the PTO housing that can be used to dump the return fluid into (not sure about yours). Far as valves go you need to talk to your dealer.

You have power beyond- it's running from the FEL valve to the remote to the 3pt. It's likely that the fluid is not flowing out of the driver fast enough. That's why their out lines are supposed to run directly to the tank. See the manual for confirmation. Slow flow in to the driver would just make it raise the weight more slowly. If you run the output directly to the tank you won't be able to operate any valves in the chain after the one you take the feed from. I.e. if you feed it from the remote, the 3pt won't work.

If the driver has its own valve and you want to control it from there instead of the tractor's remote, you need to a detent valve that will stay open. You should be able to get a detent kit for your remote from Kubota. Or you can fit another valve.

Is the M7060 a closed center or open center system Vs the JD 3720?

Any reason you can't bungee cord the existing rear remote lever to override the auto cancel? You still need the direct line to tank to achieve drop speed.

Thanks. I couldn't find a dedicated threaded port on the PTO/3PH section, but I found an adapter that would allow my 3/4" dump hose to thread directly into the hydraulic oil fill port. I assume, of my available options, that would allow the quickest fluid dump. Thanks for the idea.

The driver does have a dedicated valve which I would like to use to control the driver. Inflow is plenty fast to lift the driver to full height within 2 seconds. It's almost too fast. I think I found a quick fluid dump solution. I'll be putting that into service tonight and seeing if it works as planned. I will probably be getting another rear remote with a detent instead of auto-cancelling to power the system.

They're both open center, as far as I know. I believe a found a solution for the dump speed. I used the bungee cord method during testing, but I think I'm going to add a rear remote with a detent control. I like the idea of having full control as I'm usually working by myself. Thanks for the help!

If raising to fast just idle the tractor down and it should raise slower.

It was at idle. It's a relatively small cylinder, sjo that may be exacerbating it. Once I get a little stick time on the driver valve, I should be able to control it better. Thanks for the help.

If it's still too fast you can add an adjustable needle valve to slow it. I've done that on some of my backhoe circuits that move too fast for me and jerk the machine around.
