Power Beyond??

Hi All,

Just inherited a 1987 John Deere 650. Tractor has no hydraulic connections but i have the manual on how to hook up a valve. On the tractor there is 3 spots for hoses. Pressure Line, Return Line and Beyond Line.
I am trying to hook up a 6ft fisher plow. The plow came with a valve but it does not have the 3rd outlet.
Can i use the valve without using the beyond line and just leave it plugged? I know just the very basics of hydraulics and not sure if it will hurt the tractor to not plumb in a power beyond valve.

Any info on this or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Where are these lines at on your tractor? Are they on another valve?

PB is to hook another valve downstream. PB is normally found on a valve, not just a "port" on the tractor somewhere.

Any pictures on these "places" to hook hoses up.

Return is return. And your new valve will have hoses going to the plow. Just need to determine if you have to supply that plow valve from the pressure, or PB on the tractor

They are just ports, Two under the seat (pressure and beyond) and one on the side of the transmission (return).

The picture is from online except where the two rubber lines are coming from under the seat and steel line out of transmission mine has plugs.

I guess what im wondering now is if i need to get a new valve for the plow that has the port for power beyond or if i can hook up the valve that came with the plow.
