Are all power beyond sleves the same. After reading a response from Mad, I came to the conclusion that my loader and TPH are plumed wrong. They have the return line from the loader supplying the TPH. My control valve has a power beyond port but it is pluged. Do I need a power beyond sleve. The plug in the control valve looks like it is 3/4 pipe.

Physically, no. They are specifically designed by each manufacturer for their specific model valve. A sleeve for a Prince valve will not work in a Husco valve.

Does your existing loader valve have power beyond? How many hoses are connected to it? 7 hoses will usually indicate a PB valve while 6 will not. I don't recall exactly what you have. Remember, if all you have is a loader valve and the 3pt, the loader valve will still work if it doesn't have power beyond. In this case you will be limited in that you may not be able to operate the loader and 3pt simutaneously.

There are 7 ports on my valve and the large one is marked PB.The problem I am having is when you put the loader control in the float pos. with something on the TPH the bucket wants to slowly raise.

When the loader raise/lower spool is put into float both work ports for that spool are set to exhaust fluid and are connected to the tank port, thus causing the loader to drop and "float". Having something on the 3pt, which is further downstrean in the hydraulic circuit should make no difference in how the loader valve works.

If the bucket starts to raise when the loader spool is put into float then you have one of two problems. Either there is an internal to the valve leak between the 2 loader spools or you have a misadjustment of the joystick linkage. I would check the linkage first.

Mad, I guess I didn't explain things good enough. Please be patient with me. The line you are calling the tank line I called the return line, which is supplying the tph. There is no other line returning to the tank. I just went out and started the tractor . With nothing on the tph the float worked fine. I stood on the tph arms and the bucket started to raise while in the float position. Could it be building backpressure.

Thanks for all your help

Your valve may have 7 ports but how many hoses are connected to it? Sounds like 6 to me, thus your valve does not have power beyond but may in fact have the capabilities to have power beyond if the right parts are added.

Is the bucket curling or the loader arms raising? Probably the latter.

Depending on the design of your 3pt position control valve, you are probably getting some feedback back into the loader valve. Since there is no direct return to tank port, the loader work ports exhaust right into the return port which dumps directly into the main flow.

As I have said many times in the past, when there are more than one valve in the system, all valves except for the last must have power beyond so that the valves will work correctly. Your problem is just one of many things that can happen when power beyond is not present on up-stream valves.

Mad there are only 6 lines hooked up. The power beyond port is not being used. Fron what you have said I think it shoul be. Now all I have to do is come up with a power beyond sleve. The control valve is made by Danfoss Fluid Power. I can't find any info. on the net other than they merged with Sauer.

Thanks for the help. I got the parts ordered today.
