Power Steering On Farmall 656

Seeing that you have possibly found part of the problem, does the tractor have brakes? Those are on the same hydraulic circuit a the steering. There is a flow divider that takes the oil between the TA and the brakes and steering. Does the TA work when the tractor is running?

Sounds like time to slap a gauge on the system and see what pressures are being developed.

I did go to yesterday's and got little help.

Much as i expected.

not that there aren't some pretty sharp people in each of the specific forums.. it's just that -many- of the color specific forums get only a handfull of posts per week.. while other forums get dozens of posts per day.

If you needed 'ford' help.. you could probably get it 'while -u- wait'.. it happens to be one of the 'fast' forums.. etc.

Ive found the Farmall forum to be quite responsive for the most part ! I see that Jeremy also listed the wrong model number when posting the question about the steering. I would suggest reposting with the correct model # ans see what happens ! Sorry I dont have any real experience on those larger tractors !

Some are better than others.

'Tales' and 'N' are a couple of the fastest. 'fordson' is one of the slowest..
