Pt-180
Even though I have the lowly PT-180 everyone that has seen it is amazed. My neighbor has told just about every person in the community I believe.

One man who lives down the road and is retired worked with hydraulics for many years and said from what he has seen the PT-180 would be a cinch to work on as far as rebuilding a pump or replacing a hose.

I took it by a metal fabrication shop to check out getting a ROPS made for it and the foreman was so impressed he called one of his employees outside away from his work to show it to him since his son in into landscaping. He was also greatly impressed.

My supervisor where I am employed just bought a John Deere L120 I believe and after he saw the Power Trac video he realized he made a mistake. He said the scraper he has won't really do much and has to try to weight it down to get much use out of it at all. He also does a little landscaping on the side.

The stories go on and on. I guess the bottom line is if more people even knew about the Power Trac they would sell like hotcakes.

By the way. The metal fabrication foreman said I would be better off buying the ROPS from Power Trac than having one made from scratch.

No neighbors out by us to look at our PT...but I drag anybody who visits out to the garage for a peak. I'm considering having a pair of forks fabricated so that I can bolt them onto the small bucket(the same way the teeth attach)...thinking this way I have an "adjustable" width as compared to buying the forks from PT....was wondering if anybody has done this yet? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Amen. I too have the "lowly" PT-180 and was thinking about posting a similar message yesterday. It honestly amazes both my wife and I every time I use it with all that I am able to accomplish. I put another 12 hours on it this weekend in the one area that I feel it beats everything else hands down - in the woods. If I had a grapple bucket it would be that much better, but I do plenty well with the small bucket and teeth. The ability to get into tight places, root cedars out of the ground, and then push/carry brush piles out of the way is fascinating for a tractor of its size. My neighbors are amazed by it as well, and I believe there could be more of them (power tracs) around here within the year. I can tend to be an impulse buyer at times, but I would say very heartily that this was the best purchase I've made. Thank you again to all on this forum for bringing such an amazing machine to my attention.
There's just something therapeutic about that small bucket w/teeth and reclaiming land on my property. Never ceases to put a smile on my face. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If your PT-180 with a small bucket "" Never ceases to put a smile on my face. "", then a PT-422 or PT-425 with a Grapple Bucket will have you absolutely manic with joy!! Using a bucket for woods work without a grapple is like driving a sports car with one hand!!

My plan would be to put one of those neighbors into my PT-180, and order a PT-425 with the Grapple Bucket!!!
