NH1720, .
Went out this weekend to put in a road to get to 40 more taps for my sugar bush. Did you ever drive in any place and then try to back out only you can't do it on 4 wheels? To make a long story short I had to cut some trees down for a turn around. I put the bucket down and put the tractor in 1st range. We started pushing rock and dirt around like you wouldn't believe. I bought the tractor new to use it for snow removal, hauling sap , brush hogging and riding the boys around. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif When I bought it had some people tell me I wouldn't like it but let me tell you. It's no fancy tractor but what a little work horse. I've buried it up to its bottom in snow and even went down to my neighbors to pull out his big ag tractor stuck in a ditch. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Talk about bragging rights!!!
Just wanted to brag about a good tractor and how happy I've been with it. Nothing worse then a happy bragging tractor owner unless it's a retired sailor telling sea stories!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Take care

the XX20 series tractor were mean mamer-jammers. I loved my NH 1920 every second I owned it.

I hear that Alan! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

For the benefit of those that were never fortunate enough to serve in the Navy, I'll ask if they know what the difference is between a Fairy Tale and a Sea Story? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

A Fairy Tale starts out with, "Once upon a time." .....

A Sea Story (or tractor story /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif) starts out with, "Now this no sh _ _ ! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I get by with an older relative, the 1700, but I gotta say, for a 2 cylinder, its a workhorse of the highest order.

Just put a new radiator on mine... so it should be good for another 10-20 years. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

i have a 1520 and it has done a great job around the property clearing brush, brush hogging, moving blow downs, handling the mowing chores, clearing ice and snow, and moving anything i can get the bucket under, my wife and i had a significant "discussion" about buying the tractor but after using it to plant 300 trees, make a rose garden, landscape move gravel and stone, handle the bark mulch. she has "softened " her opinion about that @#$$# tractor as she initially refered to it. ashe now handles her own bark mulch and gravel mulch, i she really changed after i moved 30 tons of gravel and spread it where she wanted it in about an hour this was in the 100 degree august weather a few years ago, she had been using a wheel barrow until i got home from work. the machine was ok from then on.
