Just upgraded (to say the least) from an 8n to a new 3725 Branson diesel. With the 8n I'd do a circuit around the tractor and check oil (add oil, it burned a bit), attach battery cable (had a draining short somewhere), turn the fuel petcock on, check radiator level, check hydraulic level and all the while looking at tires and grease fittings.
Now with the new tractor I feel like it's more bullet proof and I wonder if all those checks are a bit ****! I don't check the oil in my car before heading home from work for instance.
What do you all do before and after operation in terms of checks?
