Bought a quick hitch three years ago, haven’t taken it off , love it. The hitch offsets implement pins by 4”. As most of us know this creates pto shaft length problems. My problem is different. I move firewood pallets with my tractor and a three point fork set. After installing QH I notice a definite capacity decrease, no doubt due to the load being 4” further from the tractor.
I’ve searched for a new shorter set of three point arms to bring the pins back to their factory distance but haven’t found anything. Is this a real option?
On my machine the math works out to a 15% lift capacity decrease currently at the center of the pallet load compared to no QH. I don’t want to have to remove the QH as that defeats its purpose! Any other ideas....other than a bigger tractor?
