I recently purchased a new Grand L 3240 with LA 724 FEL and a BH 90 backhoe.I traded up from an 09 BX 25.I really like the extra size and power but could always use more.I was thinking about adjusting the pressure relief valve for the FEL to give it that little extra when digging into a bank.It is my understanding that an increase of 10 percent over factory settings is OK and will not cause any damage.I did this to the BX and did noticed a small increase in performance.I looked through the factory workshop manual but it doesn't give much detail.I was wondering if anybody is familiar with this and could give me some input. The manual says to remove the right wheel and fender to access the valve. This seems like a lot of work especially considering the tires are loaded.I'm wondering if this is necessary or if it can still be accessed another way. Also what pressures have been achieved and did it make a difference?I understand the valve is adjusted with shims the same as the BX.Any information on this would be greatly appreciated and help me to decide if this is worth doing.Thanks.
