Hi there, I am looking for knowledge on this valve. The main hydraulic pump produced a crack and spewed hydraulic fluid all over the engine compartment and the ground. While tracking down a replacement pump, I was told the most common cause would be the pressure relief valve not releasing, causing pressure to build up to the point it cracks the case. I am not sure that is the issue, but I did remove the valve to inspect it. Under the cap is the spring, poppet valve, pressure relief valve, and steel ball. The ball seems stuck in the pressure relief valve. Shouldn't it move freely? It looks like the bore in the pressure relief valve is larger where the ball should move, and the is reduced where the poppet valve travels.
