I have added a hydraulic top link to my compact tractor. What PSI pressure should I adjust the pressure relief valve to on the directional control valve? The hydraulic pump system pressure is 2216 PSI and the flow rate 6.6 GPM. The hydraulic directional control valve is an open center with 1 spool, the max GPM is 10, and the pressure relief is adjustable from 1500 to 3600 PSI. The top link is a double acting cylinder with a double piloted check valve.

Why do you think you need to adjust pressure relief valve due to utilizing hyd center link? Is directional control valve also new? IMHO pressure relief should be set close to tractor hyd pressure which you stated is 2216 psi

Is this new valve mounted before or after the original existing relief valve? If before it must be set to match original pressure requirement of the system. If after it can be set to the pressure you want the center link to operate at since original will still be master and limit the max pressure.
