Pressure Washer Heated Storage

I have a small PTO powered pressure washer. I want to use it in winter, but my garage gets close the freezing often.

I thought about having a 100 watt bulb in a small insulated wooden box. But I am not sure that would work.

Any other ideas.

I used to store my electric commercial pressure washer in an upstairs heated room in my barn. What a PITA!

Now I just blow it out with compressed air. I have made up special adapters for the air line AND I run the machine while blowing it out. No issues in fifteen years or so.

They sell small pressure cans of pressure washer antifreeze at lowes and HD. screw in tube from can squirt till foam cones out. Easy peasy

You have to protect the hose and wand too. That would be a lot of antifreeze. I made up air hose to high pressure adapters for that too.

No, the wand and hose i blow out with shop air. Ive done this for 10 years. I use mine in winter all the time.

Why not just blow the washer out with compressed air also. I've been doing this for 20 years. Compressed air is cheaper than antifreeze.

On portables, trucks we used to recirc anti freeze in a bucket. You can blow them out, can use heat which is my preference. Use 2 lamps in series though. I have one in an insulated box on a truck doubles as a fire truck but have the shop inside and heated, hose thru wall with outside controls. 5 gpm @ 200 degrees, can melt ice and clean grease. I wash a car about every day.

I just never thought of doing that. I pay about $5 for a can of winterizer. A can last me about 4-5 seasons...or more. Only takes a squirt. I never worried about the hoses and wands cause even if some water remained, it wont expand enough to crack. I always worried about water expansion damage to pressure washer though. What i should do is simply store it in my heated tack room.....but too lazy to walk that far.

It does so much work and compared to the depreciation on just one new car it's nothing. If I was starting over and going to pay men would get 1 size bigger and connect to L.P. it's kind of a run what you being kind of deal though, I got it in my mid 20s and had visions of some kind of portable. I used it remote about twice, never moves. 100 ft hose.
