I have a 50' hose on my large pressure washer. I didn't want to spend the big dollars on a high pressure hose reel with a HP swivel since mine is not used for commercial purposes. What I did was put a quick connect at the pressure washer to connect the hose. I then found an inexpensive garden hose reel at a local box store and installed it on the washer. Now, I just unroll the hose before using the washer and then hook up the quick connect. Before rolling up the hose, I unhook the quick-connect. I have to make sure I roll out the proper amount of hose or all of it before starting, but that's easy with the hose reel. When I roll up the hose, I hold the hose with a rag in my left hand while using my right on the reel crank. That way, I clean the hose as it goes back onto the reel. Works good!
Edit: The prices of HP hose reels may have come down since I first built mine in 1997. In those days, you had to go to a pressure washer dealer. Now, every box store and Northern Tool carries PW supplies. I haven't priced a reel lately, but they were around $300 in 1997. Since I paid $400 for my whole pressure washer and refurbed it, I wasn't going to spend 3/4 of it's cost on a reel. If you can get one for 1/2 that (around $150), it might just be worth the money.
