Hello, I'm new and I looked and didn't really know if this was the best place to put this at but please correct if wrong. I need help tho.

Okay well I have this tank (55 Gallon) and pressure washer (1900 psi) I need to hook my washer up to my tank, but I am concerned if it will work. It is this pressure washer. Amazon.com: AR Blue Clean AR383 1,900 PSI 1.5 GPM 14 Amp Electric Pressure Washer with Hose Reel: Patio, Lawn & Garden

But do I need a pump? If so what kind? I read post of a 12v one but I looked and couldn't find what they were talking about. Can you please give me a link where I can buy such a pump?

Also, if I put a spigot on the tank, is it a the very bottom, or is there space?

Please help me, thanks.

-John.

I'd say volume is more important, than pressure to the washer from the tank. You don't say what kind of tank, so I'll assume it's like a 55 gal. plastic barrel. You can get fittings to fit the large bung. Should be 2", then neck down to get to garden hose size, either 5/8" or 3/4". Some places have remnant 5/8" hoses, 10' or so. Most big box stores sell fittings to convert from NPT, to hose ends. Just be sure the tank is vented, so as to let it drain.

Keep the bottom of the tank elevated above the pump on the washer. I'd surely thing a tank a foot or two above the washer, and water flowing through a 5/8" hose, will flow way more then 1.5 gpm. The higher the tank is above the washer pump, the more head/pressure you will have.

About 10 years ago, I loaded a 1,000 gallon tank on my trailer, so a painting contractor could power wash a friends barn, before painting. I'm thinking like a 3,500 psi, 3 gpm washer. Fed it fine with a 5/8" garden hose, and washed the whole barn on less than the 1,000 gallons.

More pressure washers end up as scrap due to pump problems than engine problems. Washer pumps, especially direct coupled pumps require a positive feed pressure. If the feed pressure isn't high enough, the pump cavitates. This causes damage to the valves, piston & cylinder.

So while the pump works gravity fed from a drum or tank... you're quickly wearing it out.
