This may not be exactly the right forum space.
But it frustrates me that I have half a dozen useful little motors around the place, including a small Hatz diesel single, as well as the option of even strapping a pump kit under the hood of an old straight six general purpose chevy pickup truck, but cannot seem to source pressure pump kits minus the motor. I"ve called around a bit but all the distributors seem almost offended by the suggestion. They say it would be too complex an undertaking to stock such things since each assembly of parts is specific to exactly the small motor it is mated to. I suspect that's a bit of nonsense. A small range of such bolt-on kits in a general range of psi/gpm and then suitable "minimal-horsepower and nominal rpm requirements" would seem to fit the need of lots of folks to bolt onto or belt into available power sources.
Purchasing the components item by item from such vendors quickly becomes staggeringly expensive.
Anyone aware of any source for this type of package? Or am I wrong here? Are the unloading and throttle control mechanisms of better grade "systems" impractical to adapt to a generic power source?
