My BX23 was delivered back in March but I was not able to get into the new house until June, but we had a newborn, so I am FINALLY getting to play with my BX. I have read much about the 60" MMM and grass catcher and was anxious about putting them on. I am the least mechanically inclined person on this website.
This weekend I decided to take off the BH and put on the MMM and then the grass catcher. After reading the instructions about 10 times I started in step by step, before I knew it an hour had gone by and I got the BH off, the MMM on and the grass catcher on and plumbed up and some grass cut! It was that easy, not one hitch.
I did, however, notice that my grass catcher was delivered without the little bungee that attaches the chute to the mower, it does not appears to be necessary.
Regarding cut? I have read a lot about good, medium, and poor quality. It looked just fine to me.
Next it is nearing time to get the blade on the front, I understand that the grille guard needs to come off. My anticipation is that the the blade will mount just as easy.
Photos to follow.
I had to tell someone who might care, my coworkers, and particulary my wife don't seam to appreciate the importance of a good tractor and its attachments.
Also, CCM fertilizer spreader on the way, $275 for the spreader and $138 for the shipping, WOW.
