I got a price of 18k For a 2015 HST with loader and 2710 backhoe. How does this price seem? Any reviews or experiences with this machine? I have also been looking at kubota BX series the Mahindra seems like more machine.

The 2015 with the 2710 hoe will dig 7'10" and has an incredible reach as well. The FEL lifts 915 lbs. Certainly this is in a different class than the BX Kubotas. One concern is that the hoe really is the very max the machine could/should handle due to weight. If you are going forward up a steep hill or ramp, it feels better with some ballast in the front bucket. The tractor is built in Japan by Mitsubishi and the FEL and BH are made in Kansas by KMW. All are top notch.

I'm a Mahindra dealer and I make it a practice to not do any specific pricing in the discussions, but I will say the price is certainly in the right ballpark.

I recently paid $12,500 for a 2015HST with FEL. This seems about the right peice range for up there in New Hampshire at least. I've seen prices as low as $11,700 mentioned elsewhere. Don't know about the backhoe

Are you sure KMW builds the BH? In past conversations with the folks at KMW they told me they didn't build any hoes, just the sub frames for them. I know they build the sub frames for our Kioti Backhoes. Rhino use to build Kioti BH's until Kioti in Korea started making them.

Yes KMW builds the backhoes for the 15 series. We have them shipped direct to us from KMW by the full truckload and have corresponded with KMW more than once regarding some technical questions on our first 2710/3710 load back in April 04. It is a new product for KMW and I believe these are the first hoes that KMW has produced. Production got into full swing in April. All the other Mahindra hoes are Bradco.

How have these backhoes been holding up? Any problems at all?

Zero problems, except for a leaky hose on one of them. Impressive units.

Decided on the Mahindra 2015 HST seems like a lot more machine than the Kubota BX. How about tires industrial or turf? Machine will be used for cutting lawn and clearing snow. The area is very hilly.

We sell 99.9% R4 tires on these, yet I hear in other areas turfs sell great. We do not have much snow nor do we have acres of lawn. I'd check around with locals from your area and see what works best in your application. I will say that turfs get better traction than most people think they will.

If you are moving snow and want turfs, you will need chains. I had a 2wd JD 850 (22hp, full frame) and I couldnt move well without chains, much less move snow. 4wd and more weight will help, but you get more snow than I do so I think the R4's would be a better choice.

You will go better in the snow, and you will have to be a bit more careful on wet grass.
