Hi all,

Before buying an LS G3038H fairly recently, I looked on craigslist and a few other places for a decent deal on a used tractor for close to a year, and really didn't find anything feasible. AFTER getting delivery of my new tractor, I came across this, and in perhaps a fit of insanity, am considering picking it up. Seems like a really good price, but would highly appreciate some feedback on here....maybe it's just priced fair, and that makes it stand out to me...

Also, it's listed on PMC, (ProMotors Consignment), and I have no knowledge of this company, I thought it was a scam, but after checking they seem legit...any feedback from people who have experience with PMC would be greatly appreciated too.

This is the seller's description of tractor in question:

2006 Mahindra 2615 HST tractor. Included with the sale is;(1) Mahindra ML-106 Front-end loader, (1) County Line 60" finish mower, (1) Lowery 60" box blade, and (1) County Line cultivator. A manual is included with the tractor and loader.Tractor is powered by a 25HP, 3-cylinder diesel engine. The tractor is equipped with two PTOs - a 540 RPM rear PTO and a mid-mounted PTO (I think it is1000 RPM). It has a Class 1 3-point hitch. The transmission is hydrostatic and has three mechanical ranges (low, medium, high). It has a ROPS, lighting, and reflectors. The tractor has 141.4 hours on the meter. I have owned this machine for about 4 years and other then normal maintenance (filters, oil changes, battery, lubrication) have not had any issues. Tractor has been garage-kept since I have had it. The previous owner had it tarped. The tires are in good condition with no cracking or excessive wear. The only complaint I have is the tractor is a little too light to pull a deep plow. Mahindra sells optional wheel weights that would likely solve that problem. I mainly used the tractor for mowing, working the garden, and maintaining the driveway.

Negotiated price is $5k for tractor and implements. What do you all think?

Sounds like a scam to me. Recently had two 2615 HST w/ loaders sold on CL in my area. I know both owners. One, a 2004 sold for 11K, and a 2006 sold for 12.5K. Neither one was sold with any attachments. If you can get that 2006 with low hours and all those attachments for 5K you better call quick. For that price I'd buy it just to flip it and make a profit. Sounds too good to be true.

The fact that it could be a scam is the one thing that has made me hesitate the most, this is why I also asked if anybody on here had any experience with buying / selling on PMC. Checking them out online brought up hundreds of positive reviews in several places.

So far feedback on the price is good, anybody else?

Yes, The price is a steal.
I've never heard of PMC. I've only used CL and Ebay for selling / buying.
Have you called and asked for an appt. to view this pkg. or is it close enough for you to go look.
I've called ads listed on CL in my home town to make an appt. to see an item only to find out it's 5 states away. An obvious scam.

Almost certainly a scam.

Man I was almost my father there...who is almost 80 and has fallen for one or two senior citizen scams over the years...

For anyone else out there looking on Craigslist, Ebay or Kijiji for used equipment, the scams are getting way more proficient. The "company" I was communicating with, in this case Promotorz Consignment and Sales came complete with competent website, faked referrals, testimonials, and hundreds of fraudulent reviews and trolled mentions on forums on several other websites, even some fake news articles mentioning the company as one of the fastest growing online consignment companies, etc. They had me totally fooled for a few days. Just be careful out there, the scammers are way past the days of the Nigerian princess moneygram.
