Since I've pretty much ruled out the 4105 at this point, it's down to the 3720or the 4320 both of which I've demo'd. The specs are as follows:

3720: $23,200
60 hours (new demo unit)
300cx fel,
air seat,
R4s,
mid pto,
rear scv
skid steer adapter
72" medium duty skid steer bucket

4320: $26,044
3 hours (mostly mine)
400x fel
R4s
rear scv
skid steer adapter
72" medium duty skid steer bucket

I have 41 acres in central wisconsin but my only real present need is operate the implements I have at present....box blade, rotary cutter, disk, and 3 point auger. The 3720 would really meet all my needs.

I should add that I'm trading in one or more Japanese compacts and that I'm happy with the trade value proposed. I will definitely want to find a snow removal solution such as a 3 point blower.

whaddya'll think?

I'm not an expert on price [although it doesn't sound too bad] but IMHO for the 4320 you should get the 400cx loader, not the 400x. The lift capacity is better, and if you're getting the skid steer hardware up front you might need the extra capacity for implements.

Good luck, you'll like either green machine.

As big a fan of the 3X20 size, I'd recommend the bigger tractor for anything over 15 acres. Yes, you can fit either on smaller or bigger tracts, but the 4X20 can almost turn and maneuver (sp?) as well as the smaller machine. If you've come this far with much smaller tractors, you might be OK. I know I get on the big tractor 5420 to cut our 20 plus acres.

The bigger tires will ride smoother. The 5420 MFWD has very nice big front tires.

Go with the 4x20. Better stability and hydraulics.

The mid-PTO on the 3720 will make it easier to step up to a front mounted snowblower to handle your snow removal jobs...

But with 41 acres -- if you have future designs on developing that acreage; the 4320 would be the machine to go with.

Much depends upon the number of acres and the type of work you foresee having to do on your property; both currently and down the road.

Best of luck with your decision.

IMO....the Front mount Blowers on the 3x20's are a step backwards in a number of ways....Dealer asked me about adding the Mid-PTO on my 3520 for that exact reason, but spending that much money for a puny little 59" Front Blower is pretty silly....You can get a Gold Plated Pronovost or BerVac 74" Rear Mount for 1/2 of what JD Gets for their front mount 59"...and both those blowers are the Mercedes Benz of Snowblowers....for MY application the best setup around is a 74" or 80" Rear Mount and a blade mounted on the FEL.
The Blade on the FEL allows me to back drag snow away from the buildings, etc.. and then I can spin around and blow it all away. With just a blower you end up with alot of spots you just cant get to.... With my setup, the only thing I need to shovel are the 3 steps to the house....
