Here's the Tractor and options.

M7040HDC-1
4x4 synchro shuttle cab tractor

LA1153 Loader

3rd Function
2nd Remote
Rear Wiper
Hyd Top Link
Heavy duty Pallet Forks
R1 Tires

I have purchased from three Kubota dealers in the past, and went back to all of them on this particular purchase. While I am a "repeat" customer, I'm not exactly a "loyal" customer to any of them, so I don't expect the best deal they might offer someone who has purchased several units...

Here are the prices that I was originally quoted, followed by their subsequent reduced quote.

Local dealer #1 $43235.00

Local dealer #2 $43500.00 reduced to 42450.00

Local dealer #3 $42415.00

I have told them all, that the price I want to buy at is $41,628.75
That is taking the retail price from "Build My Kubota" adding $800.00 for the pallet forks, and reducing it by 15%

Is the price of $41,628.75 (15%) off retail attainable/ or reasonable to expect?

Not with all the options. The dealer with close to $43,000 is best bet.

Dingo,

Thanks for the reply.

A few hours after posting this question, Dealer #1 called me back and came in at lower than the 15% off.

Here's the build and what I paid.

M7040DTC-1 4x4, synchro shuttle cab tractor
LA1153 FEL
3rd function
2nd remote
Rear wiper
Hyd Top Link
Heavy Duty Pallet Forks

$41,550.00 with 0 down, 0 interest

I told her to get it ready, and picked up the new machine yesterday with 1.5 hours on the clock. The dealer had to order the top link, 2nd remote, rear wiper, and 3rd function, so we picked up the tractor as is, and will be taking it back next week when the additional items are ready to be installed.

Here's a pic of my wife and the new tractor.

While we still had the tractor on the trailer, I went ahead and hauled it to the mobile audio shop and had some better tunes installed.
Alpine CD player, with audio Bluetooth ( so that we can listen to Pandora radio ), and they removed the factory 4" speakers, and installed some 6.5" Polk Audio 2 way speakers.

Here she is getting the new tunes.

On a trial run last night, I was able to operate the tractor, and talk hands free with the bluetooth. The person on the other end said there is a bit of echo, but we were able to hold a 10 minute conversation and I never had to repeat myself.

Bigbull,

Thanks.

Foreman,

We have a "system" in just about everything we own, whether it;s our four wheelers, Mule, trucks, etc. It just seemed natural to upgrade the factory speakers.

While the guys were busy with the install, my wife was asking them about fitting a sub behind the seat... I told her that the sub "may" come at a later date. I did find that it will be easy to add some additional 5-1/4 speakers toward the front of the roof.

One nice feature on the Alpine headunit that we installed, is the audio Bluetooth. I can have the phone plugged into the charger, have Pandora radio streaming on the stereo, then answer the call via Bluetooth, carry on a conversation, all while continuing to mow.

It worked out great last week. I left the office early and hooked up an 8' flail mower to clean up about 6 acres here in town. While I was mowing, I could still handle some business calls and emails from the field.

BTW, where are you at in East Texas? I have some land up between Centerville and Crockett, across from Center Ranch.
