had nothing better to do this morning since it was raining again, and went over to the nh dealer for a snoop around. i need to be more efficient in my haying, the old sickle bar and conditioner do ok but,are getting tired and they don't like the very thick and layed over hay i've been battling these past few seasons, as we seem to never get any good weather stretches to get it done when it should be done. they had 3 probably early to mid 90's 408 discbines 2 were in really good shape tin was all sratight and the cutters and gaurds and rollers were all excellent. the other 1 looked to be in fair cond. the cutters were a bit banged up and the bottom roller had 1/2 of the rubber taken right off to the steel underneath. they also had a 474 haybine as well but i think it may have been sold already. i was wondering what would be a good price on those discbines the more beat up one i would consider if the price was very good i could easily do the repairs. the other ones i figured would probably be around the $5k-$7k range, but not too sure. i was basing that price compared to a new kuhn model at around $14k. also is there a web site i can go to to check out specs and prices on older implements? thanks for any help in advance. jim
