I am a newbie to the world of tractors and am in need of some advise. From what I have read, this is the right place to be! I have 10 acres, 4 of which I have been mowing with a cub cadet riding mower with a 50" deck that I will be using the tractor for. Just takes too long with the cub cadet. I will also use a tiller and a brush hog. I have found a B7510HSD with a FEL *major plus but not a need* with a 60" finish mower *is this too big for the tractor* with 83hrs for $10,750. What does everyone think about the price? Also, the FEL is not Kubota brand *I believe he said it was a newman?* Should I be worried about that? Thank you very much for your time. esb2mlb@maysville.us

Found out the FEL is a Quaker. Any info would be appreciated!

You are right so far!

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( I have found a B7510HSD with a FEL *major plus but not a need*)</font>

Once you start using it... you will realize just how much of a plus this is... whether you think you need it or not.

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( 60" finish mower *is this too big for the tractor*)</font>

Maybe a 4ft would be a better fit... but if your not mowing real high and thick grass it should do just fine.

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( 83hrs for $10,750.)</font>

Sound pretty good to me.

</font><font color="blue" class="small">( Also, the FEL is not Kubota brand)</font>

Never heard of Quaker. I'd just run it through all the motions when you test drive it. Maybe you can get the model number and do some looking on the net to get the specs of it. If it works fine and has decent lifting capacities I wouldn't sweat the fact that it isn't a Kubota FEL.

Hope this helps. Welcome to TBN and don't be a stranger. I'm surprised nobody else has responded to you yet. I normally leave these type posts for the dealers and well versed Kubota owners but maybe they are all taking a nap! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That sounds like a pretty decent price to me -- dealer or private seller? I agree about the FEL. The things just save your back an awful lot of stress. Of course, mine is already a bit messed up so that has some influence on my feelings. On the other hand, if I had the loader sooner in life my back might not be a bit messed up now! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Like you I have 10 acres, very flat, including 28 almond trees remaining from an old orchard. Last May I paid $12,600 for a new B7510HST with LA302 FEL. Don't put many hours on the tractor (31 hrs presently). Sounds to me like a pretty good price for one with 83 hours.

In June I bought a KK box blade (48") for $375 at Tractor Supply Co. and a KK brush hog (48") for $675 also at TSC. I've used the BB to cut a half-mile exercise path along my fence line. Now that the rains have reduced the grass fire hazard, I'll get the hog out next week and do some major weed whacking.

In August I bought a used Yanmar RS1200 tiller (48") for $300 from Lane Tractor in Los Molinos. Plan to use this in March to landscape about 1/2 acre around my new house. I'll probably get some type of lawn tractor for the grass. The Kubota has ag tires and they really tear up landscaping. And the B7510 is a bit too large to navigate around all of the planting areas currently in the landscape plan.

I've found that the FEL is a must. I've used it a lot for moving material, lifting and toting jobs, excavating for paver block walkways and for a future pergola (one of next year's projects).

The Kubota dealer welded three chain hooks on the FEL bucket that have become almost indispensible (see attachment). For example, there was an old cast iron or steel bathtub in the weeds along the North fence line. Probably weighed at least 350 lb and at 5ft long would not fit in the FEL bucket. No problem. I chained the tub to the bucket and moved it over to the junk pile yesterday. A 10-minute job thanks to the chain hooks.

Hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure I just saw an add for a 7510 w/mowing deck for 13,900 new. (W/ FEL) 3 grand savings is pretty good, and those few hours wouldn't bother me. I have no idea about the FEL though. This was with Kubota FEL. That will probably subtract a little. Either they bought that over Kubota brand because it was cheaper, or they thought it was better. I would find out which.
Sounds like a decent deal to me, but I don't know what they price out new in your area.

I had a 60" RFM I used to pull with a B7500 and in the thick high stuff it would run a little on the warm side, a 48 incher would probably be best suited for the B7510.
