Hi All,

I'm not set on this model, but it will accomplish all I need it to so I got a few quotes over the past few days. Please let me know what you think. Thanks in advance for any input.

Unit is a 12speed with the following additions
-Enclosed cab
-LA1154 loader
-2 rear remotes
-Fluid filled R1 Ag tires
$46,300

That looks to be a fair price;very nice tractor by the way.If I was ever to move "up" that would be the rig.
Build my Kubota price is about $51,000+

I've been considering this purchase for quite a while. I kicked around the idea of a smaller tractor, but I know I'll regret it later, so I'm going for the larger one. Hopefully it is the last one I ever need.

Seems ok, the 8-speed ones equipped the same were in the low 50's in CDN money.

Must be nice to live in an area where the dealers have some competition.

I was in Elko, Nevada (130 miles from here) this past Wednesday and happened to drive by the Kubota dealer and saw they had an M7060 in stock. Kind of surprised me that they had a tractor this size sitting there (usually nothing over about 30 HP) so I stopped.

8 speed transmission
enclosed cab
1 remote
LA1154 loader
R4 tires, no ballast (weights or fluid)

I asked what that unit would run me with a Kubota backhoe mounted on it and was told $75,000!

$75k is absurd. I wanted mine with a backhoe, but I'm going to wait until spring.
Also that model that you described is pretty much bare bones except for the R4's.
I got them to give me a slight break on the Air ride seat, 3rd function, block heater, and radio installed for an extra $1,500 on top of the $46,300=$47,800 total
I feel like in non competitive areas where they are clearly gouging customers that a buyer is forced to deal with a dealer from a distance. I think finding the best price should be the number one concern and being close to the dealer that you buy from is overrated.

A Kubota mounted hoe for that size of tractor is likely what is driving the price up. Better off buying a TLB if you are in that size and $$$

What kind of back hoe work did you have in mind? What about having a mounted back hoe getting in the way of other uses you had for the tractor? Did you consider a smaller, stand alone hoe for occasional light work around the place if that's your motive? I had a neighbor with a hoe, tractor about 40 hp and the hoe WAS the tractor. Other than use the FEL, the rest of the tractor was useless for anything else and very rear heavy.

Sounds fair. If my memory serves right, mine came in over 10K less than it did on the Kubota build your tractor website. Let me help you spend more money too, I promise you will not regret it! Go with 3 rear remotes, I didn't think I would ever need that many but I have already used them and it is cheapest to get them up front. Also get the third function and added lighting. I did a good bit of research and need up with pretty much every option although I was hesitant, now I am really glad I did. Very smart on getting the 12 speed, it is a true value for all it adds like the E-PTO and higher Hyd flow. The rear window defrost has the un-published advantage of coming with the higher output alternator which my dealer had no idea about either. I did not order mine with the creep speed either but quickly had the dealer order it and install. Under 1K and it turns your 12 speed into a 18 speed by giving you 6 more gears that are all lower speed that L-1 gear. To say I am pleased with my tractor is an understatement! Oh yeah, get a hyd top link, it is sweet and it uses one of the rear remotes.

Oh yeah get the cast rear wheels and upgrade to the radial tires. The tire upgrade is $1600 but they will pay for themselves with the extra wear and traction they provide. Tractor will ride better and looks way better too.
