Hello everyone. This is my first post on your forum, but I've been reading your discussions for the past couple of months, and have found them informative. I've owned older tractors & backhoes growing up, but now searching for the CUT that will probably be my last if my wife has her way! While I've researched JD's & Kubota's for the past 3 months, my final choice is to go all Orange.

Welcome to the forum. I paid 15,750 for the 3830hst last May and 4100 for the La723 loader. Bradco 509 back hoe 6000. I can't say enough good things about the L3830. Love it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Price seems to be competitve. It's a great tractor. With the DT transmission you should have plenty of power. It's a solid transmission that works very well. You are smart to choose the HD bucket. Consider adding now or down the road TnT or at least, a hydraulic top link. It works great for everything from box blades to even your mower. Good Luck with your decision, Rat...

This is also my first post to list but I have been reading learning from list and trying to decide on NH,John Deere and Kubota. Last week at Fairplain Tractor sales in Ripley WV the local Kubota, NH and Massey Ferguson dealer I purchased a L3830 hst , loaded ag tires, m246 bushhog front end loader with quick disconnect 6' bucket, toothbar, quick attach round bale spear for 20360.00 and also got 0% for 36 months after 2360.00 down payment-there was no tax since it was for farm use but it would have been another 6% if I had to pay tax. Payments will be just over 500.00 a month for the 36 months. We went with the Bush hog loader because the dealer said Kubuta's quick connects were fine but they didnt fit other brands of buckets as well and I had seen that mentioned on this list. It is really a nice tractor and was much smoother than the NH TC35 I was considering. Liked the HST better on it. We have a John Deere 1010 that is wonderful but hasn"t power steering and my wifes bad knee can't handle the clutch anymore. I can use the The 1010 and she can use the new tractor. I would like to thank the list for all the help and insights.

Well the kubota dealer called me today & said the tractor will be ready for delivery this friday if i'm ready for it. I'm looking at adding a toothbar, any suggestions??

My mistake on the cutter. The $ is 1095.00 for the SQ720, not the SQ600.

Sure, the toothbar can be very handy depending on what your doing. I use mine for picking up debris, when I have lots of loader work to do involving moving dirt piles, cleaning up areas and for occasional digging. You may want to consider installing it yourself if the dealer is simply going to use the cutting torch to make the holes for the 2 bolts. A 7/8" hole saw or so will work well, just go slow.
