NH TC33D
After reading this forum for several weeks, I finally decided on the NH TC33D over the JD 4310. My first trip to the local dealer resulted in a quote of $22,600 for the 33D with Hydro, deluxe package, and a 7308 NH FEL, and a 757C NH Backhoe. Buying tractors is a strange process: no stickers, no access to dealer costs, etc. Any input on this quote would be welcome.

One thing you want to do is compare more than one dealer.

There are New Holland dealers all over this area, and you will get a high price and a low price, depending on where you go. Where abouts in Northeast Ohio are you?

Also check prices against Corriher and see if close.
They show $16,300 tractor & Bush hog loader w/ shipping.
I would prefer a NH loader.
BTW good local dealers are great.

I'm just outside of Akron OH. The dealer I went to is just a few miles from home. I'm on the NH website now to map out the location of any other dealers.

Thanks for the reference to Corriher. I want to stay with NH implements for warranty purposes and to make sure they fit just right. The 33D on Corriher has gear drive and the dealer quoted me for a Hydro.

I just bought a TC18. I got the best price from Corriher's in NC, but locally I found Canfield New Holland to have the lowest price. I bought mine from Bishop Tractor Sales in Edinburg, since they were closest to me. I got them to meet Canfield's price. I figured if I could buy from the closest dealer, and still get a good price, it will benefit me in the long run.

I didn't check out Akron Tractor over on the west side of town. It's almost 40 miles from me, and I don't like to drive through the Akron highway construction that never seems to end! I've never known anyone out here who's dealt with them before, but for you it might be worth a try.

At one time these State of Minnesota contract pages were stated to show both list and actual dealer cost for New Holland (if you knew the "secret"). Don't know how up to date these are but they do seem to get refreshed periodically.

Minnesota Contract - TC33

The "secret" dealer cost code is listed as the "Factory Code" where "01262M000" meant $12,620.00.

Back up to this page and there are links for most NH tractors and implements. Also provides a nice list of all the specs, possible options/accessories.

General Minnesota List

As to how far over dealer cost you'll need to go - that's a darn good question.

On Corriher's ebay Store they show a TC33d, 12,995. $1000 for hydro, and $3400 for 7308 loader. Total $17,395. This doesn't include shipping.

Bear in mind, if you buy it out of state on the internet, you're not going to pay sales tax. I don't know if you're normally tax exempt or not, but when I looked into it, shipping costs to Ohio from NC was cheaper than paying sales tax around here. You have to weigh all the options on that one.

I will give you list pricing on the new TC33DA which has replaced the TC33D. The 7308 loader will not fit the new TC**DA series.

TC33R4 210 List Price $17,775.00 (Loader Ready)
Industrial Tires R4 $1,215.00
14LA Loader For Loader Ready Tractor $2,751.00
60" HD Bucket $457.00
756CBH 106 Backhoe $5,091.00
Subframe for Backhoe $499.00
Hydraulic Kit $189.00
12" Standard Bucket $265.00
Street Pads $102.00
Big Foot Dirt Pads $115.00
Stabilizer Hydraulic Lockout Valve Kit $350.00
Total List Price $28,809.00

Keep in mind that none of the above prices have freight for each piece included or the labor charges to assemble it all and make the tractor and implements ready for delivery. Dealers are charged freight on every tractor they order and depending on the model can range from $250 - over $2,300. The freight on each tractor is determined by where the dealer is located in relation to where the tractor is produced at. The TC**DA models should start shipping from the factory in late October begining of November last I heard. Well hoped I help and did not muddy the water any.
