Hi,
first post here,
looking at a TC29D with loader from a pretty close dealer, what do you think? I want a good/great tractor that will last a long time, w a loader. Also, what is the difference in the 29D and the 29DA?

Are you sure on the Live PTO thing. My New Holland TC29D has hydro so it has live PTO. The 29 with the standard transmission does not have live PTO. All 4 x 4's from what I know don't have live PTO. Live PTO only means that you can change or alter the direction of the tractor without changing PTO speeds. Standard transmission unless it has a two stage clutch is not considered Live.

The TC30 with the Hydro option would be considered Live PTO.

MY TC29D two years ago with 7308 Loader and 72" MMM, Super-Steer/Sensi-trac was around 17,500. The mower represented about $2,250.00.

Depending on the area your in I think the price is nice, the DA series is the newer series and you should get yourself a quote for that unit. The loader will be the LA series loader and have better visibility and capacity.

My tc-30 (9x3) has a 2 stage clutch, with a 7308 fel $14050 plus 5 bills shipping.

Is it Hydrostatic? Does it have 4WD?

This is a leftover model - the new ones have the new curved loaders 14LA instead of the 7308.

Maybe I should ask the question, does all 4 x 4's have live pto or is his comment all TC30's that are 4 x4 live pto. There may be a difference.

Difference between the D and DA models,,,,,, The DA models are deluxe 4x4 models with more extra`s. The D models are two wheel drive or at least i`ve never found a 4x4 D model

The Ds are the old Deluxe models. The DAs are 2004 (for as much as tractors go by years) and newer Deluxe models.

All TC30 4x4's have a live PTO. The live PTO was an option on the TC29 4x4 a year or so ago but is now standard on the DA 4x4.
