Hello all, here is the scoop; so we purchased a NH 570 back in 2006 new from the dealer, and the pickup head never drove smooth, it always sounded like the tines where scraping on some thing, and we looked it seem to be only 1 tine hitting one band, so we thought nothing of it. The head always looked a little cockeyed, but we thought it might have been done like that on purpose for feed reason. The baler worked better, and much faster than our old 311 so it was a major improvement. My father was always like it works, and it works a lot better than the old one. We used the thing up until last week when the head started showing major resistance, at first we thought it was our tractor always being boarder line with the NH spec, but as we took a closer look the bands on the bottom were almost non existent. Taking an even closer look it looks like the support tube on the pickup head, the part that the head rotates on looks like it was welded wrong from the factory. When up the arm on the inside is almost perpendicular to the ground about 3 oclock, and the arm on the out side is roughly about 4oclock. Taking a tape measure to it the head sits .5 inch shorter on the outside than inside. Its at the dealership now, as its not really usable anymore, and a factory tech is suppose to come look at it, we are considering selling it. What would be a good price as is, and a good price if fixed? also anyone ever experience this? our dealer was clueless.
Thanks a bunch everyone.
