Great tractor. Looks a lot like my 1520 but cleaner and no scratches. Coming up on my 50 hr service. Any one have an idea what that 50 hr service involves and costs?

I'm a novice at both tractoring and country living so I seldom enter into these discussions, but I thought I might offer a suggestion this time.

You might want to try performing the servicing yourself. I pulled out the manual for my TC-30 and did the 50 hour service myself. I think I performed all the necessary steps correctly, and I'm no mechanical expert. My recollection is that there is no hydraulic service necessary at 50 hours, just oil, lubrication, and filter changes.

The 100 hour service requires hydraulic service. I'll get my dealer to perform that one.

You guys are correct. Mainly just filter changes, oil, fuel, hydraulic, etc. and oil change. Checked with my dealer. cost + about$225-250. I will probably have them do the first one because they need to replace a dented hydraulic line that delivered that way.

You can buy the filter "kit", oil, fuel, both air and hydraulic filters for $106.27. on ebay. Then you would just have the cost of the oil.

that looks like a good price for the filters. Just this once though I will take it to the dealer so I can get my hydraulic hoses replaced that were dented when it was delivered. Then I will know what I am doing and all else will fall on me. Thanks for your input.

Ihave had a T1520 for a bit over one year. The servicing on this tractor is pretty basic and service points are easy to. Between the tractor, the FEL and the finish mower there's a whole lotta grease fittings. I have had no problems moving dirt and leveling with a 6' box blade. Great little tractor. Three neighbors have bought NH tractors since me - except theirs are bigger.

My filters for my T1520 - oil, fuel, and hydraulic cost $46.21 at the dealer. I also bought an outer air filter (which I didn't need at 50 hrs.) for $29.16. Oil, including a quart of hydraulic oil to replace what was in the filter, was $22.76. Tax would be additional. This is a pretty easy service to do yourself. I used an adjustable 3/8" drive oil filter "cup" wrench for the oil filter.
