Dad got a new pickup.Blue F350 8' bed SWR.

getting a flatbed dump put on.

what should I ask for the old one?

I'm thinking just shy of $1k for bed tailgate and lights. maybe selling the bumper too.
is this a good asking price?
anyone need a new bed wester UP northern WI area?

You might want to call some salvage parts yards in your area and see what they are getting for take offs. Some dealers sell takeoffs also so you might call them. Body shops would be a source of buyers and might offer some options.

i'd keep the bed, that way when you move the flat bed to a new truck later on you have a bed to put back on this one to sell it:rolleyes:

$1k seems low for a brand new bed and tailgate with the lights, etc... I'd go to car-parts.com and search for that year and make of bed, tailgate, light etc.. That will give you an idea of what salavage yards are asking for them. I'd think all together you would be closer to $2k.

OK, LB???? Really PM builder. He had a utility box put on his GMC and he had to get rid of the bed so maybe he can give you the info you need. Make sure to tell him its a FORD and I sent you his way.:D
