Price for L2501?

If it helps I just paid $ 21 grand for a L3301 with the la 525 ssqua heavy duty fel, and loaded ag tires. Your price is probably about right for the slightly smaller tractor.

Thank You for the reply. I was also quoted $21k for a L3301 with the LA525 FEL and 5' shredder so sounds like their pricing is pretty competitive.

A week ago, I paid a little over $18,000 for an L2501 4x4 with the LA525 FEL and a spreader. I guess it would depend on the size/brand/quality of the shredder you are looking at. On mine, he basically threw in the spreader for free on some kind of rebate thing on the tractor (to be spent on dealer implements). you might want to ask about that? I only paid 2.5% tax so that might be different for you too and could add a substantial amount to the final total.

Hello,

Just ordered 2501 HST, 4x4,
LP brush mower, loader, forks
and box scrape for $ 20327 otd.

I used this forum to help w/my decision and notice some comments concerning "underpowered"

Some salesmen tell me this 100 cid diesel is actually under-rated to avoid EPA regs.

Also note 2501 is rated "down-low" at 2200 rpm vs. (for example)
3901, only 11 cid larger and rated at 2700 rpm.

Well the CK20 and CK25 were popular Kioti tractors, and the CK25 is at least the same frame size as a standard L. I doubt you'll feel underpowered unless running a 6ft cutter. My JD with 24 HP and 21 PTO HP will spin a 5 ft cutter in anything I feel comfortable driving through and nearly anything I back into. I've never felt it to be under powered.

I'm very interested in the L2501. Its likely going to fit my needs and budget.

The new "Tier 4" EPA emissions regulations are mandatory on tractor engines ABOVE 25-hp.

The Kubota L2501 has 25-hp, therefore does not have complex, expensive Tier 4 emission controls.

The Kubota L2501 25-hp is neither under-rated nor over-rated, it is simply 25-hp. It will mow with a 60" Rotary Cutter fine.

I doubt many tractors are being sold this year in the 26-hp to 34-hp range, because of the substantial cost of Tier 4 emission controls for just 1-hp to 9-hp gain.

From my experience of owning three tractors, each larger than the last, it takes a 50% increase in horsepower and/or tractor weight, before you REALLY notice the increase.

Kubota is selling a pluperfect ton of the L2501 model.

I was wondering the same thing. My CK2510 has the same engine designation as the CK27 with a few more letters following what I assume to be the block designation (3A139). Both displace the same 1,393cc. The CK2510 is rated at 24.5hp, the CK27 at 28hp, but the PTO hp is only 1hp different @540rpm (19 vs20).

It reminds me of the early 70s when car makers were under rating hp in muscle cars to avoid insurance charges with a wink and a nod to consumers.

And why is Kubota getting the same hp from a bigger 4cyl engine (vs Kioti CK2510)?
