Price Check Price for used 2542

My local CC dealer has a used '06 2542 with 39 hours on it for $2199. I test drove it and it runs like a dream and only has a few scratches on the deck otherwise it looks mint.

Looks to me like a no-brainer but wanted to check with you guru's first.

Seems like a good price to me. Might want to check with the dealer as to whether the warranty can be transferred to a new owner or not.

I believe the last time I looked at a CC warranty it pretty clearly stated the warranty was only applicable to the "original" purchaser.

I wonder whether they've changed the warranty, or the dealer is just going to go ahead and honor it unofficially.

Well, I decieded to buy it and had it delivered Thursday. I got it for $2625 with a new bagger, delivered with tax.

I have put 4 hours on it already as my grass had gotten out of hand since my Craftsman bit the dust two weekends ago. Man this thing is a serious upgrade from the Craftsman. All the guys on my street have tractor envy now, well except for my buddy with the Kubota L39.

Does anybody know if Northern Tool sells AG tires that fit this tractor? I got a tow behind bush hog from a friend for $500 and now that I have a real tractor I am going to try to tame the 3 acre grown over field that I have been ignoring since I moved in here last fall.

Sweet deal on that machine! I dunno what NT has in regards to tires, but try http://www.carlisletire.com/ There are a bunch of fine forum members with AG tires on their 2 and 3K series machines. Most of your tire shops will order what ever tire you want.
