Price for used tc40da

My local dealer has a used 2008 tc 40da with NH cab and FEL. 135 hours. he wants 28,500. What do you think is a reasonable offer. I've googled the usual internet sites but didn't see any 2008s come up. Did the prices on these shoot up much compared to 2000-2006?

TractorHouse has 3 2008 from $28,900 to $30,950. One unknown year at $22,500. Seems about right. Make him your best offer. It's worth what you are willing to pay.

Ask the dealer what the Unit Number is for this tractor. If you go look at it, the Unit Number and Serial Number are on a placcard on the transmission housing under the left operator's platform. The Unit Number is a code for exactly when this tractor was built. I'm betting it is a 2007 or earlier tractor since New Holland changed models to T2310 in November 2007, making them available at dealerships by 2008. I do not believe there are any true 2008 TC40DA tractors. The dealer may have sold this TC40DA for the first time in 2008, but that does not make it a 2008 model.

Without the cab, this tractor would sell used for around $21k or less. The cab would add $4k or $5k to the price. I would offer $25.5k or $26.5k tops. I believe $28,500 is $3k too high, especially if you discover by the Unit Number that this was really a 2007 or 2006 tractor.

Got mine with 370hrs top and tilt fel and canopy with extra lights for 17,900 I want to say its a 2006. Still looks brand new. I love it. An absolute workforce.
