Hello all. After I spread 50 tons of gravel this winter, I will pretty much only be using the tractor as a lawn mower. So I figure its time to sell it next spring and just buy a riding mower. I have seen this year and model of tractor listed anywhere from 3k to 10k on various tractor websites. I have seen none with more than two implements. I paid: tractor, 7300, 54" mower deck, 1550, grass catcher, 2000, box blade, 500, loader 2800. Total $14K. Nothing leaks, and everything works except the 4 way flashers on the tractor. All maintenance performed per schedule, always stored in garage, waxed twice a year. 506 hours on tractor. What price should I ask for the tractor and implements? Thanks for your help.

I paid $5000 for a BX1500 with 6?? or 7?? hours this spring for son in law with mid mower. No other implements. Many buyers would want the FEL and even a few would like the BB but BX1500 pretty small for a BB to be to effective with my ground. Grass catcher is desired by some but not by me. Used implements could bring half of new price or maybe a bit more from someone really wanting them. Keep FEL and MMM with tractor at one price to not include other implements and price other implements individually and put them up for sale on a different page on Craigslist.:2cents:

In central Virginia I see a price for tractor, mower and loader $8,750 on Richmond CL at a dealer. I agree with JOHNTHOMAS about selling the implements separately. If you include, your giving them away. These tractors are kinda small (10.5 hp at PTO) so I'm not sure of the demand in your area. I personally want 18 hp to the PTO as a minimum for bush hog applications. Then again, VA and AZ are quite different. Good luck.

The only implement that might keep its value is the loader. The others are going to be severe losses. It's unfortunate, but true. I went through the same thing when I tried to sell to trade up to a B series. I ended up staying with my BX, and it still does just fine. I already have the money in it, so it's not going to break me to keep it.

I know you're looking to sell. You will likely lose as much, if not more, than the cost of a good riding mower trying to downgrade. My 2360 is now basically a riding mower on steroids too, but I would not come out well enough to make it worth selling. I can also still find use for the implements from time to time, making me glad it's still here. I also like the fact that my giant mower eats through small trees without getting screwed up, and can mow in reverse.

You're also up against dealer pricing and 0%, which is hard to overcome for anyone looking to take out a loan on a tractor. I bought mine brand new for 0%, 0 down, and the payment was very close to a used tractor financed. It is almost never worth the difference to buy used. In this respect, you must be priced so low, you beat out the dealer.

Just another point to consider, even though I have no concept of your particular needs right now.

507 hours X $10 per hour = $5,070 tractor only DEPRECIATION

$7,300 - $5,070 = $2,230 tractor only sale price.

I concur with JOHNTHOMAS. Keep your BX as a mower.

Sell implements separately.

I agree with the others, I mow with a 2350 hydrostatic, and that's about it gets used for, I have a blower for it sitting back in the barn but it hasn't been used for a few years.

G31. If you spread 50 tons of gravel am I correct in thinking this is a driveway or parking area? If so then you will need to maintain that over time.
I would keep the BX and have what you need when you need it.
