I would like to know what percentage of discount to get off msrp on new JD 110 TLB. It has 3rd scv on loader with 72" HD 4 in 1 bucket, 7 spool backhoe aux hydraulics, 24" HD quick attach bucket, Rear worklight kit, Stabilizer street pad kit, 55 amp alternator, R4 tires. Note: No rear scv's!

I would think about 20% off list thats about what I got when buying mine.

The rear hydraulic option was only available from the factory when I ordered mine in 2005. Not available as an add on later. If you wan't rear hydraulics you will likely need to build up valves using the power beyond circuit.

If it were me I would search for a 110 with the full hydraulics package if you intend to use this as a tractor too. Besides the cab I also added telescopic lower links to the topntilt hitch. With over 800 hours I am very happy with this tlb.

The 110tlb canopy is the same height as mine with the Laurin cab. Note the height is much taller than the 4520. This height is needed for headroom when changing seat positions. Just thought I would mention this if you have a low door for parking the machine, here is a pic of these two side by side. Are you going to sell your 4520?

Steve,
I had JD do a search for me here on eastern seaboard for a 110 with all hydraulics. No TLB with all the hydraulics on this side of USA. I knew the 7 spool backhoe would be a deal breaker for me. I got lucky and found this one with the 7 function backhoe! I also know that JD does not supply a kit for the rear diverter scv option. But I know that it would be really simple to add a 2 or 3 spool valve and just plumb it to connect into the existing power beyond quick disconnect ports. I am planning to trade my 4520. I know I will be down on PTO power by 17. I am hoping I can get by with this trade off because I feel the hydraulics and the way it has been designed on this TLB is superb to the 4520. The loader is built heavier, the 3rd scv plumbing and mounting is the way it shoud be. The backhoe is heavier built and you have a thumb option which I think is a great addition! And to top it off you have 23 GPM total flow and 3000 psi. I would like to have both tractors but right now I cannot swing that much. This has been a tough decision. Thanks for your knowledge and advice!

So long as you have all the details I am sure you can come to the right decision for your needs.:)

The backhoe aux valve has a little higher flow than the front, 16 gpm vs. 12 gpm. I have a PA 30 planetary auger for the hoe and while it could be faster it has done a good job for me. So having the QA on the hoe is a plus.

Don't know if the 110 you are looking at has the stabilizer cylinder guards but I would opt for that if it isn't there.

The belly pan is another option that you should seriously consider! The hyd filters and all the hard lines running front and back are very exposed and would be/could be an expensive repair bill!

Buying a new tractor is always a balancing act - between what you can afford and really need versus what you really want!! :D

It's a challange to figure out the differences between "want and need"...

After using a few excavators and a TLB that all had hyd thumbs - I came to the solid conclusion that a thumb is really a "need"!

It's been worth every cent I paid for it! Every bit as important as the 3rd SCV on the loader!

Try not to leave the dealer's lot without one - IMO. You'll be kickin' yourself every day if you do...

Absolutely the thumb, skid plate, backhoe aux. valves, etc.

You'll be surprised how much you can do with the thumb!

I really like the PA 30. Good power but it is a heavy sucker.

Aren't the 110's being discontinued, as in you get what you can find?

That's what my dealer told me as well. As of 3 days ago, he said there were only 6 left in North America. Glad I got mine 3 years ago.

My local JD dealer had one forever, was down to 29k and could not sell it. JD finally took it back, I'm sure that it is one of the 6 remaining. :(

It should have been... Mine came from a manufacturer in Alabama. They build a full armour package for the 110. Including a full surround cage for logging, heavy brush work.

There's been 3-4 110's that have sold this summer on Craig's List up here. Cheapest was $33.5K and it had ~1,400hrs. Full hyd options, though. 4n1, thumb, top n tilt.

They didn't last very long, either.

I've had 2-3 guys contact me about selling my 110 this summer. Local dealer figured I'd be interested in selling after buying a new, 5075M. Not just yet, though. Having the hoe with thumb and that HD loader with log grapple... hard to duplicate that with an Ag series machine!

Hey guys,

Been a member here for a while but have never posted. Needed to chime in on this one. I'm a fellow 110 owner. I bought my machine back in the spring. It was a used machine with 360 hours on it. My local yellow JD dealer (Plasterer Equipment) has a deal going with the local utility that they own, and service, 110s, 310s, etc and rent them to the utility. After a set amount of hours, the machines come out of the rental fleet and get sold off. Thats where my machine came from. These are nice, low hour units (lots of idling with the lights on), well equipped (lights, horns, mirrors, 7 function rear, 3 function front), and dealer serviced. I bought my unit for 32k. I know that they were taking delivery of around 25-30 new 110s last time i was up there, so that means around the same should be coming out of the fleet soon. My salesman did say these were the last he thinks are being made with no replacement as of yet. If anyone needs contact info, let me know and ill send it to you.

The 110 is an excellent piece of equipment. I use mine for digging around the property, trenching for work, but mostly for mowing ( 7' woods rd8400 ). I plan on getting the pa30 auger for all the fence work i need to do around here.

Is there enough interest for a 110 forum?

Dan
