Price Check price of 2007 tractors

hey guys i have a quick ? i have heard some talk going on that starting in 2007 the diesel tractors will increase in price from what they are currently.the word is that since the new diesel engines are going to have to pass more epa requirements and have to run on the ultra low sulfur diesel fuel that the price will go up since they will be putting in so much more hardware on the machines.this is all heresay.is this true or simply not true?

don't know if it is true or not, but rest assured everything is going up, due to moderate inflation, energy prices etc. we all will be paying more for everything. if the price on any item is the same or less, it is because you are getting less for the same $$$$ be it less weight, or cheaper materials.

I'd generally agree that prices for tractors will go up. Just the way things are. The Fed keeps raising interest rates so the cost of money is going up. Fuel prices are obviously up so transport costs are up. Plastic prices rise with oil increases.

As for the EPA issues, I'm not sure if the engines need to test to higher standards but the EPA is requiring lower sulfur fuels.

As for the issue of weight and cheaper materials: Recycled metals, if they are of mixed alloys are lower cost, if you get more weight it is likely due to using a higher % of mixed recycled metals, which are typicaly weaker and therefore require thicker castings to attain the same strength as more pure alloy. Sometimes the weight is desirable, sometimes not, depends on the use of the equipment.
