I need some help in deciding if I am getting a good deal.
4310 HST, 4 WD, 48 BH w/12" bucket, 430 FEL with 4 N 1 60" bucket and a 73" HD bucket, adjust. links, Speed Match, Cruise control upgrade, bigger R4s, rear working light , extra hyd. hook up for the rear for a wood splitter, $26,850 less maybe another $1,000.00 in program money. I have a JD 850 2 WD no attachments, 710 hours good clean condition for a "82" model that they will give me $ 4000. allowance. I feel that it is a good deal but I could be blinded by the fact that I want this machine to bad.

I am not far from you, and the price seems on par with the good deal I got. It is actually better, considering the equipment upgrades...

Even the trade allowance seems fair...

JMAC, I think the $ sounds good. Would suggest 18" bucket, wet soil, and clay will have a tendancey to stick in 12" bucket. You say larger R-4 tires, do you mean diameter, or width? If you increase diameter you will gain top end speed ,but reduce low speed power. If you could, keep 850 for mowing or rough use??

Tractorhal, Thanks for the info on the bucket, probably will go to the 18 with this info. The tires are bigger both ways. I'm wanting more ground clearance is the main reason I'm considering larger tires, I have gullies that I sometime have to go thru so the extra clearance should help keep the attachments that I might have on the back from dragging.
I have a 72" Grasshopper I use for most of my mowing and I really don't want to have another piece of equipment around to have to store and maintain.

JMAC, You'll love the oversized R4's especially if your ground is soft (better flotation). There is no problem with low end grunt that I have experienced and I do quite a bit of loader work. Besides you have 3 ranges to work with! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

That seems good. I ordered almost the same set up. I looked at the 4 in one bucket but it added $1800 so I went with the 73" and the 430 FEL. I went with the 18" bucket on the 48bh. I like the upgraded cruise, That will come in handy some day IF I let my daughter mow. My out the door price is $25000
Come on May 1st
