Price on a demo RTV?

Hi Guys,

I'm in the process of buying a Kubota L4330 and was checking out the RTVs while at the dealership. I read up on them here and I think buying one would be a great addition to the farm tools as well as a nice toy for the wife. The dealer has a demo unit with under 60 hours on it. It's camo colored stock unit with the manual dump - no bells and whistles. I would have to upgrade to make it hydraulic.

They quoted me $9,200 which they said was a good discount since I'm buying the tractor there. They said it would be about 1,000 to get the hydraulics set up for the dump bed.

Is this a reasonable price for a slightly used unit? How much more would/should it cost to get one brand new with the hydralic bed?

Any input is appreciated.

Sixty hours is nothing.... but IMHO I'd have them add the dump and sell it for 9.5 - 10k.

I think if you shop around, new ones will be in that price range.

I would work a little harder on the price. I live in the Atlanta GA area and did the following. I faxed a letter to all the dealers in the North Georgia area asking for best bottom line price on the configuration I wanted. I got the RTV900 Worksite Model, with dump for 9,700 before tax, brand new. This includes the worksite tires and lift. I know the Camo version is slightly higher but without lift and "used" I would push them a little more.

Just my 2 cents worth.
