Price Check Price on a TC45D

I have been given a price of $24,500 for a TC45D with the 17A loaded and quick attach and the hi/lo switch for power built into the joystick, plus 2 sets of rear wheel weights. Also added a landpride 72" finish mower not in the 24,500 price.

Trading a Farmall 856 with a wessendorf WL50 loader.
Dealer said the 856 was in great shape and he wanted it pretty bad so finished with an offer of $20,000 even.
He said he was giving $8500 trade on the 856.

Is that good?

It looks to me like after reading a few posts, the 856 is eating the usual 'knock off' on the MSRP and I'm not really getting as much 'deal' as I can.

Any opinions?

hmmm! how much is that land pride mower? $4000.00 I hope not. because if he claims he is giving you 8500.00 for your trade he is saying that 72" land pride mower is four grand from the way you posted. He could do better at 18000.00 trade price the hi low switch is standard on that model with the 17la dont let him try to charge you for that.

Thanks for the input, I sure do appreciate the time you guys take in helping/giving opinions/options to those of us asking.

So far we have just talked on the phone since our initial conversation. I will get the line item prices and I'll be more specific in my post with options. Hopefully then, you all can help me with my dealing.

The tractor is fantastic and so much nicer than what I'm used to.

Just looking for the big smile of a proud owner and the peace of mind that I've done my best to get the best deal I could.

Trade of Farmall 856 with WL50 loader $8500

Final price $19,000

My trigger finger is gettin' itchy.

Maurice,
Go to another dealer and get them to give you the same quote without the trade-in. That way you will have a true idea of what your dealer is offering you. In my opinion, he is $1,500 to $2,000 high. Even if you have to drive pretty far to another dealer, if you save yourself big bucks, it will be worthwhile. Don't get too anxious. It will cost you. Good Luck./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

That price of $27.5k seems too high to me. A dealer in my area told me he sold a TC45D w/supersteer, 17LA, 72" hd bucket, aftermarket cab with heater, two rear remotes and the NH 84" MMM for $25.5k to a school district. It looked really nice. This was about a year ago and seemed like one heck of a deal. They were also adding a front snow blower but don't remember what they were paying for that.

Are there other dealers in your area? I would price others and see what they can do, some dealers just want too much margin. I paid a higher margin then I should but I tried to justify it in my mind by knowing that the dealer would be there for me. They provided great service but went out of business about a year after the purchase. So much for paying a premium for service!

Love that supersteer! Don't give it up. The best thing about supersteer is the sensi-trak (sp?) transmission. That auto engaging 4wd is very, very nice. Never think about tire scuffing on the ground and whether I should be in 4wd or not. It works when it needs to and disengages when not needed. Occassionally I will lock 4wd on but that is less then 10% of the time.

He should be at the most 18000.00 to trade even a little less if you push him hard.

What do you think the price of Maurice's Tractor and loader with out the Spears/Remotes/Mower should be.

I am seriously considering the TC45D w/supersteer vs TC45 but want to make sure the prices I get are good.

You guys are great! It's nice to find a place where every one is looking out for you.

I thought the price still seemed high.

There is another dealer about an hour and a half away. I'll have to make time to get a quote from him with out a trade.

While I'm at it. Is there any other options that any of you would recommend to me.

ie... I just recently read on a diff thread that there is an arm rest kit. Any comments on that one? Is there some where I can go to get a complete list of all available options?
