i was wondering what was a decent price to expect to pay for a new backhoe attach Bh77. i have backhoe on my b7800 but not sure which model it is. possibly looking at different tractor with same setup i have>
or do you guys know would older models be compatible with an b3200
or what the older model numbers are , so i can try to find a used one.
which i know is not likely though.
Kubota B3200/L2501/SVL65-2/U35-4, IH 454/656, Ford NAA, Case 1845C/480E/450C LGP
The BH 77 is about $7700 + $400 to 600 for the bucket. Thats list price, if you buy it with a tractor you might get as much as 10-15% off that (at a good dealer).
Used, the only ones that were really made to fit the B3200 were the BH 76 and BH 77. The BH 75A might be compatible, but you would have to buy the new mounting subframe for the BH 76. If you want to go even older, the B4672 or BL4690 backhoe will fit, but they are 3pt mount which is not as sturdy. You would need the reinforced toplink bracket for a B7800 if you went this route.
I never used a 3 point BH, but I would think that they can be hard on the machine and not as stable, but I have no first hand experience. On my L3800, my BH is mounted on the frame using a frame mount kit and removing it takes only a few minutes if that to take off. It's probably easier to remove the frame mounted BH than the 3 point mounted BH.
No, they only make the sub frame mounted backhoes nowadays. The hoe you have will fit a B3200/B3300, but you must get the reinforced top link bracket if you want to go that route. Without that reinforced bracket it will rip the top link mount off the tractor, probably break the whole rockshaft assy housing.
There are literally pages of discussion on 3pt vs sub-frame backhoes on this site so there is plenty of reading if you want to search for it. In general the 3pt isn't as ridged or durable as a sub-frame mounted unit, and harder on the tractor.
