I think you will find that most people will agree that these two machines are pretty comparable. So with that being said, only YOU can decide which works the best for you. Dealer is sometimes the deciding factor, location of user features, color, the fact that you already are leaning toward JD all have there weighting factors.
I personally started out figuring on the JD and ended up with the Kubota. My reason came down to a quality unit for the right price. My family had JD's for many years.
If I ever buy another one it will be the same process, except I will probably expand my search to include a couple of the other MFG's.
