I'm considering purchase of a used 2004 John Deere 4610 4x4 from a private party. They are asking $25K and I'm wondering if this is a reasonable price.
Here's the specs and included implements:
- 1800 Hours
- Shuttle-shift transmission (I was hoping to find HST, so also wondering how well these work compared to HST)
- JD #460 loader
- JD #48 backhoe
- MX-60 6 ft JD brush cutter
- box scraper
- landscape rake
- single shank ripper
Owner says it's had all the regular maintenance done and the only issues encountered was a blown hydrolic line which has been fixed. Also, he says there's some surface rust on the mower deck but other than that everything is in good shape.
I did do a search on tractorhouse.com and it seems to me the asking price is a bit high - maybe somewhere in the 18K to 20K might be more in line with the value, but I am a total novice at this so therefore posting this question for you experts out there. I am in Hawaii so that might have some factor in driving up the price a bit.
I have not actually seen the equipment yet as some travel is involved - will hopefully get a look at it later this week. Any input is greatly appreciated!
