I was quoted a price of $2,100 for a Woods BB60X rotary cutter. I live in eastern Pa. about 100 miles north of Philadelphia Pa. at the base of the Pocono Mts. I received quotes from two dealerships in this area. Both quoted me the same price. Is this a decent price for this attachment or would I be better off trying to purchase it from another area and paying the shipping. I have looked for a used 5' rotary cutter for the last 3 months with no success so i decided to bite the bullet and buy new. The one alternative is buying a new "county line" rotary cutter from TSC for $1,000. I know the gear box in the TSC is not comparible to the Woods unit but it is half the price. Does anyone have any experience with the TSC cutter.

thanks for your input

I paid $1900 for BB60XC (model with slip clutch instead of shear pin)

If you're in eastern PA and don't mind driving an hour and a half or so, I got mine from Woodbury Tractor. He's about 4 miles off I84 X15 in Connecticut. He's got the best prices around that I've found. He's got the BB60X listed at $1800 so you could save $300 for a couple hours of your time.

The brush cutter from Everything attachments sounds very interesting. From the video it appears to be well built and have the right setup (slip clutch, stump jumper, floating link). Since it is new it probably doesn't have any track record to compare it to. However for the price I'm willing to consider it. The website gives the dimensions and the weight is listed at 660lbs. and designed for tractors up to 75HP. I have a B3030 Kubota that has 30HP engine and 23HP PTO. My tractor should be sufficient to handle this cutter because it's not much different than the Woods BB60X. I don't have any experience with rotary cutters and I don't want to buy anything that is not compatible with my tractor. Does anyone out there think this unit is too big for my tractor?

Thanks for the info
