Hellow everyone,
I am going to price the new bx models this week and was wondering if anyone has what a fair price would be on a new bx2230 with a la211 loader and a backblade.

Where did you get these prices from?? Do you think I can deal somewhat for a lower price? I'm going to give it the ole college try

Art is a Kubota retail dealer in N.Y. As for price, there is more to buying a tractor than just price. Sure you might find a dealer from some far off land that is willing to give you a great deal if he doesn't have to do any warranty service and can hand the tractor to a trucking company and take your money to the bank. You will find that most of the post here stress the fact that you and the selling dealer have a partnership for the life of the tractor. Find a dealer that you feel will be able to service the tractor and is close enough to you to do the service. Then work for the best deal. Remember, he has a family and needs to make a profit also. If you don't care about service and want to go it alone, then find some dealer that fits your desire for price only and when it needs repair, plan on finding a dealer that is willing to service it in a timely manner even though you didn't buy it from him. There is more than just price in the decision where to by your tractor.....
Astor, Junkman gives good advice about selecting a dealer based on more than just price. As far as buying, yes, you could and should do better than retail. Art's post shows that the new BX's are priced the same as the old. There is an excellent pricing calculator developed by a TBN member named Will (I don't know how to make a link), that will give you a good ideal of a "real world" price. If you are not trading anything in, I imagine a price for the tractor and FEL would be in the mid-11's. Good luck,
Will
I'd try to deal with a local dealer. Especially one that can deal with you.
Service after the sale is everything, especially if you have some kind of trouble or an issue with the tractor.
Long distance relationships might be okay for a telephone romance, but a local dealer will probably be hesitant in providing GOOD service on an out-of-town tractor. If I was a dealer, I would.
The pricing I gave doesn't include shipping and set-up. Junkman gave you some good advice. Most dealers operate differntly and you need to find out what you might value as a customer of the dealer. The boy's here like free hat's but I'd value free trucking during warrantee more. Maybe a free 50 hour service. Couple of cans of touch up paint. the skys the limit. Don't feel like you might be asking for to much as all questions are good.
