Hello all,
I am new to this forum and have noticed there is alot of experience out there, so I am directing this question to this formum due to my interest in the 7074. I have a small farm where I raise horses, goats, chickens, steers, and some other animal. My current tractors is a JD open station 5205 MFWD with FEL. My uses for this tractor is as follows: Finish mowing with 7' Kingkutter, brush hogging with 6' BMB, box blading 300 ft driveway, blading 300ft driveway, putting down gravel over driveway at lease every other year (3-5 dump truck loads), stall cleaning, cleaning chicken house once a month, off-loading 1300lb round bales, moveing round bales for horses & cows and numerous other chores that I cannot think of.
I like my JD very much, however I am looking for more hp with a cab tractor. When I brush hog my pastures the JD does an excellent job for about 75% of the time. During the summer season when the grass is thick and tall the machine bogs down quite abit. So I have to slow down the JD to keep up with the Brush hoging.
I have been comparing the JD 5345 & 5425 to the Mahindra 7010, the Kubota M7020HDT, and the TYM 700 with all having a FEL. I am looking for a Cab tractor with bale spear, aprox. 400# of rear weights, FEL, and 10Ft pull type brush hog. So far I have recieved pricing of $50400 (JD 5425, FEL, 10' brush hog), $49,000 (JD 5325, FEL, 10' brush hog), $44,100 (Kubota M7020, FEL, 10' brush hog, bale spear), $38,300 (Mahindra 7010, FEL, Bale Spear, 10' brush hog, bale spear), $45,000(Mahindra 7010, FEL, 10' brush hog, bale spear). My question to this forum is what kind of pricing will the Montana be if I get a quote from them. The nearest Montana dealership city close to me is Prescott KS.
The quotes I am getting on my tractor are around $23000. I am looking at the Montana and most of the features on a JD come standard on the Montana. Is there any dealer around hear that likes to deal, the best price i have seen for the 7074is #36,000 with out the bale spear.
