Price Check Pricing, Use on a 4120

Help! I'm new to this forum although I've been reading various posts for a while. I am a tractor novice (farm novice, too) and have been looking for a machine for snow removal, landscape work, fence construction, pasture maintenance, forest clearing and cultivation of a few acres.

I was looking at a JD model 4120. The local dealer has offered a new unit at $23,000, which includes e-Hydro, R4 tires, and delivery/setup. The 400X loader with a 4-in-1 bucket, ballast box and the added hydraulics is an additional $5,350. Tax should not be an issue. I would be using JD's 0% credit offer.

I would like to know what you folks think about these prices. Also, does anyone have a 4-in-1 and what do you think about it?

You guys are all very informative. I have learned a lot so far reading this site - I've gone far enough to make a selection, where 2 months ago I knew nothing - and would like your input before I pull the trigger. Thanks in advance for your responses.

That seems a little high to me. I got a great deal on my 4520 ehydro with the same features, but I got the machine for 22,000 plus tax (minus the loader). It just seems to me that is a little high, not bad, but a little. As a rule of thumb, take the retail price and figure a range from 10-20% off. 20% would be a really good deal. The invoice on mine was 21,997, so you can figure from there. Delivery and set up should be included, especially for an expensive machine like this. Hopefully, you were not charged extra for that.
