I was on Princess Auto's web site this morning and noticed they now sell a Hydraulic Top Link with a double pilot check valve for $239 CAD.

Well now...that looks like a good price and value. Now you don't have to worry about import duties and hassle for ordering from the USA.

Of course...just because I bought mine about a month ago. Although I still got a slightly better deal because I shipped it to a US address at the border and drove to go get it.

All said and done my HTL cost me about $240 CDN but I had the cylinder, hoses, quick connects, etc.

That's right Jim. Even though the price is higher than CCM. If you are having the HTL shipped to Canada via courier you will save on shipping and brokerage fees. Princess Auto will also make custom length hoses for you.

A while back I said I was going to bend a length of 3/16" rod to build a new hydraulic top link holder. Well I am happy to say it works great. I never did take a picture of it. I'll do that later today.

Last year I got a Dalton one without check valves. At the time I looked all over for one north of the 49th with no luck. Wth all the charges it ended up beng about $250 CAN. Just saw the PA one as well. I was going to take a look this week. Mine works well with no leak down for my uses although the check valves would have been nice. My valve with detents holds it where I want with no problem. If you don't have a hydraulic top link, it may be the best single addition I did to my tractor. Couldn't do without it now. Makes everything easier.

Princess Auto comes through again though! Love that place!

A standard HTL can be very helpful in most applications. Before you buy though, you might take a look at our top link. It offers some features you won't get with another product.

I would like to find one to fit my Kama 554. It has a class II standard lift except for the upper link which has 7/8" pins instead of 1".
