I want to replace the tires on the 855 for the winter.. the turf tires are nice for the yard but since I've decided I'm running syrup this winter I may be going into the woods a bit and the Turf tires will probably not survive... Nor will they give me the traction I'll need in the snow and muck..

Any Idea where I can get some cheap rims for the old girl... I think I know where I can get Ag or industrial tires... But heck if someone had a set of tires and rims I wouldn't be opposed to them either..

Is there a conversion chart for rims that fit what.. or someone who specializes in this kind of thing..

I'm in sorta central/eastern/southern Ontario... (about 30 minutes south of the main gate of Algonquin park if your trying to figure out where that is...

My R4's are worthless in the mud....JMO.:confused2:

R-4's are tough (more ply's) but as said, not the traction Ag's have. But with chains on, they should be good for snow and wet conditions in the woods.

Need to watch as the rims are different sizes and to get the holes to match.

I've no ideas for where. :confused3:

Well the turf's were useless in the snow/ice... I have a little hill and it was enough to stop the thing dead... I had to use the tractor to get it unstuck

Have you considered a good set of chains for the turfs? I had a very similar situation a few years ago. Started out looking for rims to put R1's (Ag) on the tractor but eventually tried a good set of chains which completely solved the problem for snow & ice. That 4wd tractor with turfs and liquid filled tires was almost useless on snow and ice w/o chains.

Ditto the chains. If you don't like them, use them untill you can find different wheels/tires. For tires R1s

I was thinking the same thing I would try chains first . FIL had a MF1655 2wheel drive w/turf..Not worth a dime on slope with any dampness in the air.. Put chains on tractor we wore out the turf tires after 25-28 yrs..
He put R1 you wouldn't think it was the same tractor. Still use chains in the winter mo. but not anymore cutting grass.
