I have a new 5035 with the ml 130 fel. I can not get the left side to lock down compleatly. It doesn't matter if I am trying to put the pallet forks or the bucket on when I push the left handle down all the way the pin does not seat compleatly. any suggestions. :confused:richard

There is a long bolt between the handle and the locking slide. In between the two, there is a square ended shaft that connects the two, which is held together by a long bolt with a nylock nut on one end. Check to see that this bolt is tight. I drilled mine out and put a heavier bolt in both of mine. The size bolt they had in there was like 5/16 and I went 3/8"... theirs probably was metric.. If you don't keep this bolt tight, you can round off the square connectors, like what yours is probably doing. I welded and fixed one of mine. Once you pull one apart, you will see what you are dealing with.... Good luck, Jerry... :)

I think the main problem is that when you go to hook something up, your skid lock are open with the handles in the UP postion. So when you are going forward to hook up, these handles are sticking out in front a little and if you run them into something in the process, it puts too much stress on the long bolt. This streches the bolt some, and allows the square shaft to slip a little over time. Once that happens, when you move the handle, you are actually not turning the square shaft enough. Once I went to 3/8", I have not had the problem.

If/when you take it apart... you will see that you don't have to remove much stock to drill the whole thing out to 3/8"... Either that, or don't use the locking handles as bumpers... :)

Cool... !!!! I use my QA quite a bit swapping between the bucket and the forks... Couldn't see owning a tractor without the QA on the FEL.... Have a great Labor Day...!!! Jerry..
