- NH TC33D w/R4 Tires, Rear Remote, Hydraulic Toplink, 2 Auxiliary Work Lights, 7308 Loader w/Kasco Uni-Hitch (Quick Tach)
I installed a set of rear remotes about a month ago. Unfortunately I did not test the full range of the new lever until I had the tire back on and the new rear wheel weights installed. I found out that when I went to use the lever for the 3-point hitch that it would hit the new lever for the rear remote. I wasn't sure if it was the rear remote lever or the 3-point hitch lever that was bent incorrectly. If I just bent the new rear remote lever to make it work then if and when I installed the second rear remote I might have more problems.
I finally got a replacement rear remote lever from my dealer tonight and got it installed. When I set the old lever on top of the new lever I could not visible see any difference in the bends. When I put the new lever on it was a lot better than the old one. As far as I can tell the levers were bent identically but where they were welded on to the round tubular shaft at the base the first one must have been welded wrong.
So for the last month I had to jam some cardboard to hold the rear remote lever out of the way of the 3-point hitch lever. I didn't have anything to hook up to the new rear remote so it wasn't a big inconvenience other than having to take the tire other parts off again to install the new lever. I have a new hydraulic toplink now so I want both levers to be just right.
Here is a pic of how the levers hit each other.
